Dr. David Bow, professor of physical education at Tusculum University, was honored with the Bell Lifetime Achievement Award from the Tennessee Technological University College of Education, Department of Exercise Science, Physical Education and Wellness.
Dr. David C. Bow, professor of physical education, has been an instructor at Tusculum since 1977. He has served in several leadership positions at the college including coordinator/chairman of the Physical Education program, director of athletics, and a coach. His work in athletics has been recognized through his election to the Tusculum College Sports Hall of Fame.
He earned his doctorate in physical education at Middle Tennessee State University and a Master of Arts in health and physical education from Tennessee Technological University. He is a member of American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD), Tennessee Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (TAHPERD), National Association for Sport and Physical Education (NASPE, and American Association for Active Lifestyles and Fitness (AAALF). He was president of the Tennessee Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation in 1996-97.
