With this financial assistance, a Tusculum education is achievable. We support students who are accepted for admission with abundant resources such as scholarships, grants, loans and work-study programs. With this financial assistance, a Tusculum education is achievable.

Some awards that a student may see on their financial aid award offer include, but are not limited to:

Tusculum Academic Scholarship: Academic based scholarship that is based on GPA. This scholarship is determined at time of acceptance by our admission’s department. Every student is our traditional program qualifies for a Tusculum Scholarship. For those students with exceptional grates, they may receive the Tusculum Charter Scholarship, Tusculum Heritage Scholarship, or the Tusculum Legacy Scholarship in lieu of the Tusculum Academic Scholarship. For more information about the different academic scholarships, please contact our Admission’s Department.

First in Family Scholarship: First time in college students who are the first in their family to obtain a bachelor’s degree can receive up to $500.

Pell Grant: Federal Need Based Grant that is determined by the completion of the FAFSA. The FAFSA will produce a Student Aid Index (SAI) which is part of the Need Based Formula to determine Pell Eligibility. For more information, please see: https://studentaid.gov/understand-aid/types/grants/pell.

Federal Supplemental Opportunity Grant: $500 Federal Scholarship provided to students who fall within -1500 SAI to 0 SAI range and who submit their FAFSA before February 1st.

Tennessee State Assistance Award (TSAC TSAA): Tennessee Grant awarded to TN Residents who have a SAI that falls into the yearly established range set by the Tennessee Student Assistance Corporation and who file their FAFSA before February 1st. Student who attend Tusculum University and who meet the criteria are eligible for up to $4,000 per academic year in this award. For more information, please see

Tennessee Hope Scholarship: Tennessee Scholarship awarded to TN Residents who graduate from an eligible TN High School. Student must enroll into college no later than 16 months from the day the student graduates from high school. Student must also have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or a 21 ACT/1060 SAT. Student must file FAFSA by September 1st for fall and February 1st for spring and summer. For Freshman/Sophomores, this Scholarship is up to $4,500; Juniors/Seniors up to $5,700 per academic year. Tennessee Aspire Award: Supplement to the TN Hope Scholarship. If the student is TN Hope eligible and the AGI on the FAFSA is less than $36,000, the student will receive up to $1,500 per academic year.

Tennessee General Assembly Merit Scholarship (GAMS): Supplement to the TN Hope Scholarship. Student must be TN Hope Eligible and graduate from High School with a 3.75 GPA AND a 29 ACT/1330 SAT. Students can receive up to $1,000 from this award. Cannot be combined with Aspire Award. If student is eligible for both, Aspire will be awarded.

Tennessee Students who file their FAFSA early and are eligible for Full Pell Grant, TSAA, and HOPE Scholarship will be designated as a Pioneer 100 student. Pioneer 100 students are students who have 100% of their tuition paid by Gift Aid.
