Man in a costume showing objects to an audience

I am currently the Lead Educator/Interpreter at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Historic Site, where the Texas Declaration of Independence from Mexico was signed in 1836. I oversee development of interpretive and educational programs for the Washington Townsite/Independence Hall, Fanthorp Inn State Historic Site, and the Star of the Republic Museum. Museum professionals wear many hats in their daily job, and the focused classes of my degree from Tusculum gave me a strong, well-rounded base. I secured a paid internship that later led to a job due to my degree and professors’ guidance. The subjects I studied at Tusculum and the professors who taught me continue to be a strong influence on my career and my life.
