Hello and welcome to Tusculum. I act as a Traditional Enrollment Representative. I was born and raised here in Greeneville, where my family has been since the 18th century. History has always been a big part of my life and I studied it right here at Tusculum! I graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in Museum Studies. Soon after, I found myself in the role of Education Coordinator at a house museum in Knoxville, where I continued to further my love of Tennessee History. Coming back home to Greeneville, I realized there is no better place around to talk about this subject than Tusculum University, the oldest institution of higher education in the state of Tennessee!
Tusculum prides itself on creating a sense of belonging, even making our international students feel like locals. While test-taking and homework might be on the agenda, it certainly isn’t all there is to do. Tusculum is nestled in a beautiful location. The small-town feel of Greeneville might not be for everyone. If that’s the case, try a visit to nearby Johnson City or Knoxville, only thirty minutes to an hour away. However, I can’t explain how good some of our local restaurants are! Check out the Burger Barn, but be sure to bring cash. They won’t take cards that’s how good it is.
Please, enjoy your time exploring our University and the surrounding area. You might even catch me at Creamy Cup enjoying a large house roast with cream and sugar. If you have any questions or comments, my team and I would enjoy speaking to you!
