The Master of Arts in Leadership is an affordable, hands-on degree program that may be completed in 12 to 17 months. It includes options for online and in-person coursework and offers four innovative concentrations:
At Tusculum, you will engage in real experiences, learning through application, reflection and service.
The program includes hands-on leadership workshops and simulations of real world decision-making, crisis leadership and communication. Our program infuses values-based leadership grounded in Christian principles and servant leadership.
You will learn from world-class practitioners who lead in hospitality, non-profit management and human resources. Assignments are structured to be relevant to you, so you can apply what you learn directly to your current role, to your organization and to your career and future leadership goals.
There are a variety of resources available to help students pay for college including federal loans, veteran’s benefits and highly competitive payment plan options.
Our monthly tuition payment plan helps to make the costs of higher education manageable for our students and does not incur interest charges, unlike similar payment plan options offered by other comparable higher education institutions.

The program aligns with Tusculum’s mission in additional ways by teaching them to lead with character and values and serve their communities and organizations. It also connects with the mission by helping students communicate effectively, respond ethically and courageously to challenges and engage in meaningful and purpose-driven leadership.
You will work with mentors and coaches – as well as experienced professors – who will help you grow, challenge you to lead with integrity and believe in your potential.
You will develop skills in subjects such as leadership fundamentals, leadership in conflict and adversity, communication and influence, organizational culture and change and servant leadership and values in practice.
For each course, you will also obtain one credit hour from workshops that enable you to apply what you learned in real-world scenarios that are tied to the needs of local employers. This meshes with the element of Tusculum’s mission that highlights active and experiential learning.
You will graduate with a portfolio of six to eight applied leadership projects in partnership with local employers. You will be ready for the next steps in your career.
