Since graduating Tusculum in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Museum Studies, I have worked at various cultural institutions throughout Tennessee. I currently work at the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville, TN within the Community Engagement department. I help develop and implement cultural programming for Tennesseans such as lectures, film screenings, book clubs, hands-on workshops, specialty tours, author talks, festivals, exhibitions, and family programming. The Museum Studies program at Tusculum taught me valuable skills I use daily in my career, especially pertaining to cultural research, interpretive writing, exhibition development, graphic design, interpretation, and non-profit management skills. I’m grateful for the professors at Tusculum who went above and beyond to equip my classmates and I for successful careers!
