Tusculum University provides an active and experiential education. Part of that experience is to live in on-campus housing, which enables students to live on their own and develop skills that will benefit them after graduation.
Living on campus fosters an opportunity for our students to develop a sense of family and friendship in new surroundings. Our Pioneers enjoy an opportunity to meet and come to know students from other states and countries. This enriches their lives by broadening their knowledge of different cultures.
We offer multiple housing options on campus for students. They are Katherine Hall, the Charles Oliver Gray complex, Haynes Hall, Welty-Craig Hall and the Apartments. Katherine and COG are the primary places where freshmen typically live. Every residence hall includes traditional room amenities, restrooms, showers and common areas for students to spend leisure time. The Apartments offer additional amenities
Students can add a personal touch to their new living quarters by decorating it as they prefer while adhering to university regulations. This space offers a nice, cozy place for students to study and complete homework as well as enjoy downtime. Free internet is available in the residence halls and apartments to support students with their classwork and entertainment.
As part of our housing program, students are offered meal plans in the cafeteria and Dining Dollars for the Chick-fil-A on campus.
All on-campus housing is conveniently located to the various academic and social buildings on the grounds. Everything is easily accessible by foot.
Katherine Hall is a male-only residence hall and is used primarily by underclassmen.
The COG complex is a group of female-only residence halls that is used mainly by underclassmen.
Haynes Hall is a male-only residence hall and the most centrally located housing facility on campus.
Currently under renovation
Welty-Craig Hall is a co-ed residence hall and is the closest housing to the library.
The Apartments are co-ed and primarily house upperclassmen.
All full-time, residential Tusculum students are provided access to our network.
Students will have to provide the actual device. But once you’re hooked up, that’s it!
Every residence hall room has access to our local area network (LAN). Students can also make use of one of the computer labs located across campus. Tusculum students may connect to the campus-wide WiFi network which allows our students to stay connected to the Internet, even when walking across campus.
We’ve provided a handy checklist for incoming, residential students. Of course every student may have different needs, but this gives you a good start. Items we consider essential are bolded. Double-check the “Do Not Bring” list and make sure to consult your roommate to avoid doubles of items like lamps or appliances!
